Loneliness

parenting

I am not saying this to get attention but more to say you are not alone.

It’s funny how you can have loads of people physically around you, your kids and partner but feel alone.

My day to day is just routine, getting from A to B, making sure people are fed and making everyone else happy. It’s so easy to forget yourself. That human interaction which isn’t a passing comment on a school run, that wave in the car.

Through talking to a lot of people on this group it seems that everyone feels alone.

It can come about from many things, one thing for myself that I notice is when my daughter is struggling with things and I get statements like,

“Isn’t that just a 5year old thing”

“They will grow out of it”

With each statement I find myself withdrawing and not interacting as much, I have gotten myself into a cycle.

It’s hard, but what I want to say is lets be each other’s friends. Jess and I are always here to listen, to validate, to support. We are here to help bridge the gap from you feeling lonely to you feeling empowered to take things on yourself or with use helping you.
