This is the timeline for an EHCP. If the LA go over, then your child:
-Misses out on the support they MUST have.
-Misses out on the funding for the setting that is most suitable.
-Causes you unreasonable stress.
Complain to the LA on their customer complaint line. It is the best way to get action.
I believe a delay without you agreeing to the reason is not only non compliance to the Code of practice, but also incompetent working practice of the LA and a customer service issue that they need to deal with by training their staff. FACT...
